The Landolt C: visual acuity

Self-assessment for information only: it is not a screening, an examination or a medical opinion, it does not constitute a diagnosis and it does not replace an eye examination. A.N.P.I.G. is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the results.

We will show you a series of rings with a gap (Landolt C), smaller and smaller and sized to the real measurements of your screen. Say which side the gap is on by tapping the matching slice of the answer wheel.

  • Wear the glasses suited to the test distance: reading glasses with the phone in your hand, computer glasses or distance glasses with a screen further away.
  • Keep the distance you chose during calibration for the whole test.
  • A well-lit room and screen brightness at maximum.
  • One eye at a time: cover the other with the palm of your hand, without pressing.

Before you begin

  • This is a self-assessment for information only: it is not a consultation, a screening, an examination or a medical device, and it does not provide a diagnosis.
  • The result depends on your screen, the light and the distance, and it may be inaccurate, even when it looks normal.
  • Your answers stay on this device: we do not receive them and we do not store them.
  • For any problem with your eyesight, or if a result worries you, see your eye doctor. A.N.P.I.G. is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the results.
