Contrast sensitivity
Self-assessment for information only: it is not a screening, an examination or a medical opinion, it does not constitute a diagnosis and it does not replace an eye examination. A.N.P.I.G. is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the results.
A disc made of slices that get fainter and fainter: at each level one slice is missing. The contrast decreases in constant logarithmic steps until the disc becomes too faint to tell apart — that is where your threshold is measured.
- Screen brightness at maximum and no direct glare on the display.
- Keep the distance set during calibration for the whole test.
- Wear the glasses you normally use.
- One eye at a time: cover the other with the palm of your hand, without pressing.
Before you begin
- This is a self-assessment for information only: it is not a consultation, a screening, an examination or a medical device, and it does not provide a diagnosis.
- The result depends on your screen, the light and the distance, and it may be inaccurate, even when it looks normal.
- Your answers stay on this device: we do not receive them and we do not store them.
- For any problem with your eyesight, or if a result worries you, see your eye doctor. A.N.P.I.G. is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the results.
